The fair will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The 68th Annual Park Forest Art Fair will be held on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Village Green in downtown Park Forest. It is located between Western Avenue and Orchard Drive, and Lakewood and Indianwood Blvd. Returning exhibitors Marikay Witlock and Billie Davis will be showing their work at this year’s fair.
This year, there are 11 new artists exhibiting, as well as many returning artists who will be familiar to fairgoers. The artists work in a variety of media from oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, photography and printmaking to wood, glass, pottery, and fiber arts.
Marikay Peter Witlock, returning exhibitor at the Park Forest Art Fair, paints pastel paintings that have been featured since the 80’s in over twenty solo shows, have been represented in private and corporate collection throughout the Mid-West and Mid-Atlantic regions, and have been in gallery exhibitions, selected juried shows, and invitationals.

Billie Davis creates Abaca angels, which are made of abaca fibers, and are imported from the Philippines. She uses silk, cotton, denim, chiffon, satin, crepe, velvet, and African fabrics for the outfit. She then adds detailed accessories to complete the unique look of the angel. Billie uses gems, mink, shimmer, gold, silver, and decorative print for these. The one-of-a-kind angel is then placed in a shadow box, signed by Billie, and dated. The angels are made in 4 inches and 12 inches.

The Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery will be open on both days of the fair. The gallery, gift shop and art fair are open to the public, free of charge.
