Rainy Days and Monday: One and the Same
Patchy fog and strong likelihood of rain to start your week. Here's a look ahead to help you plan.

We begin the week with patchy fog Monday morning, and drizzle or rain in the afternoon. Expect a high temperature near 39, with slight winds of 10 to 15 mph out of the south. The chance of rain is high at 90 percent. West of the suburbs, from Sandwich to Rockford , freezing rain is possible.
Overnight, more rain likely and the precipitation could turn to snow but little accumulation is expected. (Are you relieved? On the East Coast, some regions have 40 inches of snow after the weekend blizzard.) Continued fog before midnight. Wind gusts could hit 25 mph.

- Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 30. Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.
- Thursday: A slight chance of snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.
- Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 38. Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.
The weekend may see some rain but the temperature forecast is in the 40s.
