Rock-N-Roll Crete Library Event: 'Legends Of Sun Records'

The Crete Public Library District will be hosting a rock-n-roll event Sept. 15 on Zoom.

CRETE, IL — There is no need to keep your voice down this time, The Crete Public Library District is ready to Rock-n-roll, live on Zoom. Legends of Sun Records will take place Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to the library.

The Rock-n-roll event will be hosted by musician Randy Walker, who will be performing classic songs by musicians like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. The event is for adults and will allow participants to learn about the origins of rock-n-roll, according to the library website.

Walker is an entertainer who has a relic of over 1000 songs, according to his website. Walker performs over 300 shows per year and has been playing guitar since the age of 11. The musician grew up in a musical family and has been involved with multiple bands such as the Cleveland band, "The Fabulous Blue Moons," according to the website.
