34 Tickets Issued During Holiday Traffic Detail In Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The results are in from a recent traffic safety campaign in Crystal Lake.

During the traffic detail, which ran through Dec. 2 as part of a Thanksgiving holiday campaign, officers with the Crystal Lake Police Department made 28 traffic stops. Here is a look at the citations issued during the campaign:

• 19 speeding ticket
• 1 open alcohol citation
• 2 distracted driving citations
• 4 driver’s license violations
• 1 operation of motor vehicle with suspended registration citation
• 2 lane violation citations
• 5 operation of uninsured vehicle citations

The Thanksgiving enforcement effort is made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered
by the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled
Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
