CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified the 53-year-old Algonquin motorcyclist killed in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night in Crystal Lake as George Klinger, the Northwest Herald reports. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday, interim McHenry County Coroner John Miller told the newspaper.

Authorities arrested Carolyn Tyrell, 53, of Crystal Lake shortly after the 7:37 collision on Virginia Road. Police said Tyrell was driving a sedan that collided with a motorcycle, which was headed south on Virginia Road at Berkshire Drive. She then fled the scene and police located her sedan a short time later in the 900 block of Wesley Drive, according to authorities.

Tyrell has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash, a class 1 felony, in connection with the hit-and-run. Additional charges against Tyrrell are expected, police said Wednesday.
