Crystal Lake Resident Celebrates 50 Years as a Freemason
Frank Richards has been an active participant in Masonic Charities

Nunda Lodge # 169 in Crystal Lake was proud to honor Frank Richards’ fiftieth year as a Freemason. Brother Richards was taken through the 50 Year Ceremony and presented with a certificate and lapel pin. Worship Brother Richards was initiated into Freemasonry in Danville in 1975 and became a Nunda Lodge member in 2015, serving as the lodge’s Worshipful Master in 2021-2022. During his tenure he has guided the lodge through various community activies resulting in the Silver Grand Master Award. “After completing college, my first job was in Mattoon, Illinois, and my employers were both Masons.” Richards says. “After thinking long and hard I decided to be part of the organization.” Brother Richards has been an active and passionate supporter of numerous Masonic Charities, including the Annual Scholarship Program. Each year recipients receive a check for $1,000 to assist them in their vocational, university or college fees. The Annual Masonic Scholarship is awarded to students who submit an essay expounding on Faith, Hope and Charity, the core tenets of Masonic giving. Nunda Lodge # 169 is grateful to have Brother Richards in their ranks!
