District 26 School Board Race Too Close To Call

Incumbents are leading but not by much in the five-way race for three open seats.

CRYSTAL LAKE AND CARY, IL —Three incumbents are leading in the District 26 school board race but two newcomers are not far behind.

There are five candidates vying for three open seats on the Cary Consolidated Community School District 26 school board this election. Incumbents Deanna "Dee" Darling, Jason Janczak and Kathryn Potter faced a challenge from newcomers Loraine Perry and Nancy Swart this election.

With 20 of 20 precincts reporting, here are the unofficial results as of 10:30 p.m. for the District 26 school board race.
