The Facial Bar Moves To New Space In Downtown Crystal Lake

Meanwhile, two new businesses moved into the former Facial Bar location in downtown Crystal Lake.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A popular downtown Crystal Lake business has moved down the street.

The Facial Bar has moved into a space formerly occupied by Mum 117 at 37 N. Williams Street, said Heather Maieritsch, economic development manager for the city of Crystal Lake.

"The Facial Bar provides amazing skincare treatments and expert service at affordable prices," Maieritsch said.

The Facial Bar moved from 30 N. Williams Street, Unit G, into the former Mum 117 space. Mum 117 closed in October after eight years in Crystal Lake.

"I enjoyed everything about Mum, our customers, being a member of the downtown community, my incredible employees. I loved sourcing new and unusual products, merchandise display and creating great window display," Lourie said.

A sister team of businesses Freundly Designs and Curated by Laney Boutique will move into 30 N. Williams Street.

"Freundly Designs currently has a brick-and-mortar location in McHenry and is opening up a second location here in downtown Crystal Lake. She creates custom apparel for businesses, schools and will offer on-site pressing for grab and go items," Maieritsch said.

Curated by Laney Boutique is currently in the McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes and looking for their first brick-and-mortar space.

"Curated by Laney Boutique offers curated boutique clothing and accessories for women who value comfort and style," Maieritsch said.
