MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Local emergency personnel saved two deer that fell through the ice in McHenry County.

The McHenry County Township Fire Protection District responded after receiving the call last week and crews were able to safely reach both deer and bring them to share.

Fire district officials say the incident is a "good remin-deer for everyone that no ice is truly safe ice."
