LAKE AND MCHENRY COUNTIES, IL — It's starting to look a lot like Christmas in and around northern Illinois.

Snow has blanketed the Chicago area, and the village of Cary has "bragging rights" to some of the highest snowfall totals in the area following the weekend's snowstorm. According to the National Weather Service, Cary had 11 inches of snow during Saturday's snowstorm and only a handful of other suburban towns topped that amount.

The snowstorm ended up going down in the history books as the snowiest November on record. In total, 8.4 inches of snow was recorded Saturday at O'Hare International Airport.
