GRAYSLAKE, IL — A portion of Route 83 in Grayslake will be closed for 10 weeks, village officials announced this past week.
The Illinois Department of Transportation began construction work on the realignment portion of Route 83 from Route 137 to the Metra tracks on Monday. The road will be closed to thru traffic for an estimated 10 weeks.
Local residents on this stretch of road will have access, according to a post on the village of Grayslake Facebook page.
