Postponed: Westbound Crystal Lake Ave. Lane Closure, Detour

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The upcoming detour and lane closure for Westbound Crystal Lake Avenue has been postponed. Originally scheduled for Monday, the detour and lane closure has been postponed by Nicor until the end of February or early March, the City of Crystal Lake reported. Nicor's contractor will continue working in the vicinity of the Main Street and Crystal Lake Avenue intersection next week, during which those out and about can expect delays and periodic lane closures with flaggers on Crystal Lake Avenue, west of Main Street, according to the City.

The postponed detour is necessary for gas main relocation work. In turn, the gas main relocation work is necessary for the City’s upcoming Main Street/ Crystal Lake Avenue intersection improvement, the City said.

The City added that updates will be posted on the City's website and on the City’s social media outlets.
