Route 14 Repairs Could Cause Delays This Week

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Pavement repairs got underway Tuesday on westbound Northwest Highway in Cary and Crystal Lake and will continue through Thursday.

Lane closures are expected between Three Oaks Road and Route 31 along Northwest Highway while the repairs are underway, according to a news release from the Illinois Department of Transportation. At least one lane in each direction will remain open during repairs and there will be access available to residences and businesses.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time while traveling along Route 14 this week. Drivers are also urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, to follow posted speed limits and to be on the lookout for workers and equipment.
