SUV Crashes Into House, 2 Seriously Hurt In Crystal Lake
The driver and an adult who was in the house suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — An SUV crashed into a detached garage and a house Wednesday night in Crystal Lake, severely injuring both the driver and an adult who was inside the house, police said.
Police said the SUV was heading east on Ballard Road around 7 p.m. when it went through the intersection at Briarwood Drive and, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and hit a detached garage and a home in the 100 block of Heather Drive.
The man driving the SUV was extricated by Crystal Lake Fire/Rescue and flown to Condell Hospital with life-threatening injuries. An adult inside the home was also flown to Condell with life-threatening injuries.

A portion of Briarwood Road and Ballard Road were shut down while crews responded to the scene.
The Crystal Lake Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash. Anyone who has information on the incident is asked to call the Crystal Lake Police Department at 815-356-3620.
