Three Oaks Students Qualify for Odyssey of the Mind World Finals

Three Oaks students shine at Odyssey of the Mind, with one team heading to World Finals!

CARY, IL – For the first time in school history, students from Three Oaks Elementary participated in the Northern Illinois Regional Odyssey of the Mind competition, a student-driven creative problem-solving contest.

Two teams attended the regional tournament. The Primary Team, consisting of kindergarten through second-grade students, was the only team in its age group to compete at the regional level in the entire state of Illinois. They presented their problem-solving project before a packed
audience, showcasing their creativity and resilience.

The 3rd-5th grade Division I team secured second place in their division solving a mechanical problem. Their solution featured a robotic gecko that performed tricks. Their strong performance earned them a spot at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, set to take place in May at Michigan State University.
