Darien Bar Fight Results In Battery Charge: Cops
In another case, a man was arrested after asking another person to hand over a child, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving a bar fight, domestic battery, disorderly conduct, trespassing and retail theft. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Bar fight
- A 22-year-old Morris man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday on a battery charge. Police said they responded to a fight at Q Bar, 8109 Cass Ave. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Patch has filed a public records request for the police report.
Disorderly conduct

- A 28-year-old Bolingbrook man was cited about 8 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 7329 Cass Ave., on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said they responded to a suspicious person trying to abduct a child from a car. A man reported that the 28-year-old approached the driver's side window and told him to shake his hand and give him his child. The 28-year-old also had an order of protection and was transferred to the custody of DuPage County deputies, who took him to the county jail.
Domestic battery
- A 59-year-old Darien man who lives in the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive was arrested about 4 p.m. Saturday on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Trespassing

- A 67-year-old Willowbrook man was cited Wednesday at Carriage Greens Country Club, 8700 Carriage Greens Drive, on a trespassing charge. He had recently been given a no-trespassing notice for the property. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Battery, retail theft
- A 35-year-old Willowbrook woman was arrested about 5 p.m. Tuesday on charges of battery and retail theft. Police said an incident occurred at Shell gas station, 8226 Cass Ave. The woman was released and given a date to appear in court.
Retail theft
- A 23-year-old Willowbrook man was cited about 5:30 p.m. July 10 at Brookhaven Marketplace, 7516 Cass Ave., on a retail theft charge. Police said he admitted to stealing a vodka bottle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Theft
- A Stihl concrete saw was stolen between noon and 3 p.m. Friday in the 7500 block of Grant Street. The estimated loss was $1,400.
