About 9 p.m. Aug. 4, the Darien woman berated a customer service desk employee and continued her criticism when her transaction was done, according to the report. Behind her in line was a 26-year-old woman using a scooter. The 26-year-old told the Darien woman that she had completed her business and was being rude to the staff, police said.

Surveillance video shows the Darien woman then invading the other woman's personal space. The other woman touched the older woman with the palm of her hand and kicked the woman to create some distance, police said.

The Darien woman dropped her purse, clenched her fists and struck the younger woman's right leg with her right knee, according to the report.

The other woman tried to push the Darien woman away with her right leg, but the Darien woman grabbed the woman's right leg with both hands, police said. The Darien woman is also accused of hitting the woman's right bicep.

The Darien woman repeatedly lunged at the other woman, police said. She was then seen walking away and calling the police.

On the way to the police station, the Darien woman volunteered that she had made a mistake, admitted to encroaching upon the other woman's personal space and acknowledged she was "ready to fight," according to the report.
