DARIEN, IL – The Darien Police Department's DUI arrest rate is higher than nearby towns, a study released this week shows.

In 2024, Darien counted 70 DUI arrests, which works out to 2.1 per officer, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists.

The top three Darien officers for DUI arrests in 2024 were Maciej Cachro (10), Tony Hruby (9) and Nick Nelson (8).
