Hinsdale Police Reports: Underage Drinking, Theft, Identity Theft

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through April 5.

A Manor Care patient reported $100 cash and pills missing March 28 from a dresser drawer inside of her room.

Employees of a business in the 0-100 block of Spinning Wheel Road reported about $200-$300 cash, two computer mouses and flash drives containing personnel information went missing between March 30 and 31 from an unlocked desk in the office.

Someone used the victim’s identity to file a fraudulent tax return between March 11 and March 24.

A ManorCare patient reported someone stole her Medicaid card when she was transferred to a different room between March 20 and 28.

Police were sent around 12:19 a.m. April 3 to Madison Street and Morris Lane for reports of a woman screaming. They found a 19-year-old man of Hinsdale, who said he and his girlfriend had an argument. The teenager was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he was charged with unlawful use of alcohol by a person under 21 and released to appear in court. The man with with another person who was also seen to be under the influence of alcohol and had an unknown substance in pill form. Charges are pending lab results.

A 16-year-old boy of Hinsdale was a passenger in a car that was stopped April 2 for speeding at 55th Street and Elm Street, and he was seen to be under the influence of alcohol. The teen was also in possession of a pipe used with cannabis. He was charged with unlawful use of alcohol by a person under 21, curfew violation and possession of drug equipment and released to a parent.
