Christ United Methodist Church Deerfield Shares Its Harvest

Vegetable Garden Dedication Ceremony

There will be a dedication ceremony for Christ United Methodist Church’s outdoor vegetable garden on Sunday, June 21st.

The vegetables are planted, nurtured and reaped by church members and then donated to the Deerfield Food Pantry who provides food to those in need in Deerfield Township. Recipients will enjoy spinach, lettuce, Swiss chard, tomatoes and peppers.

Church members believe it’s a blessing to have this fertile patch of land from which its harvest can be shared.
Pastor Brian Roots and Joe Hmieleski will officiate over the ceremony.
