Deerfield Teen Found After Walking into Oregon Wilderness
The 2014 DHS grad went missing from a therapeutic camp.
The Deerfield teen who went missing from a therapeutic camp in the Oregon wilderness was found safe and sound about 1.5 miles from where he walked away from his camp, TribLocal reports.
Kevin Robert Mulert, 18, was discovered missing Wednesday morning and was found by search and rescue parties Thursday morning dehydrated, the article says. He’d been part of a “nomadic wilderness experience” for teens and young adults struggling with depression, substance abuse and other issues, but was there voluntarily, the article says.
A report in Oregon’s KTVZ.com says he walked away from the camp without shoes.
