There will be a three on three basketball tournament at noon Saturday for students. Though the events are over, the fundraising continues through Thursday.
“We still have seven days, which is huge,” Gottstein said. “All you have to do is go to www.lungevity.org/school chest. We still have collection and sales every day (at school).”

As the people played Maj Jongg, they also had the opportunity to buy student made jewelry as three entrepreneurs turned their business skills to fundraising. They gave a portion of the sales to the School Chest.
Hannah Simon started making jewelry over the summer. “It was a connection with my grandmother and me,” she said.
Two other students—sophomores Drew Saffer and Sydney Addis—have had a jewelry making business going even longer. Each month they choose a charity and some of their profits go to the selected cause. “It feels good to do it this way,” they said. This month LUNGevity and School Chest are the pick.
