Lovell’s Highwood Restaurant is Open

Jay and Darice Lovell’s more casual eatery opened earlier this month and has been drawing a steady stream of customers excited about its Southern-style menu, according to an article in the Lake Forester.

Jay Lovell’s Fresh Homemade Seasonal is more casual than their upscale restaurant, Lovell’s of Lake Forest.

The new restaurant opened May 6 and is already drawing crowds, the Lake Forester article says. Sunday brunch has proven popular, as is “pie happy hour” between 2 and 5 p.m. when customers get a free cup of coffee with a piece of pie.
