Pedestrian Struck, Killed Near Deerfield Shopping Plaza: Police
The victim's identity has not been released by police after the Sunday morning accident near the Deerfield Square Shopping Plaza.

DEERFIELD, IL — A person was struck by a vehicle and died early morning near a Deerfield shopping plaza Saturday morning, police said.
The identity of the person killed has not yet been released following the accident, which took place at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday near Robert York Avenue and Osterman Avenue Police. Deerfield Police arrived at the scene and found that the person had died after being struck.
Police are working with the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team and the Lake County Coroner’s Office to determine what happened.

While police haven’t released many details about the crash, WGN reported on Sunday that a man informed them that the victim was his wife, who was walking near the Deerfield Square Shopping Center when she was struck and killed.
