School Spirit Explodes for Homecoming

Homecoming at Deerfield High School is a time for football, dances and a lot of school spirit.

It was the school spirit that was on display during a pep rally Friday afternoon at Deerfield High School.

Not only did the football team run into the gym through a column of cheerleaders and pompons, but so did the boys’ and girls’ cross country squads, the boys’ and girls’ golfers, swimmers and divers and members of the ice hockey, field hockey, tennis, volleyball and soccer squads.

There was a rousing chorus of the school song accompanied by the band along with entertainment by the cheerleaders, pompons and dance teams. Not to be outdone, members of the school staff did their own dance number.
