Walgreen to Keep Its Headquarters in U.S.

Walgreen Company is staying put.

That’s what the Chicago Tribune is reporting about the Deerfield-based company that has for months been fueling speculation that it would move its corporate headquarters to Europe in order to take advantage of lower taxes there.

The company will have a call Wednesday morning with investors to discuss the decision, which has not been made public yet, the article says. The Tribune story cites unnamed sources.
