Warriors Star Performer: Haley Greer dominated the game with 25 points that included making 71 percent of her shots. She also dished out two assists and stole the ball twice.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Emelia Karkazis added six points and grabbed four rebounds while Margot Sylvan chipped in five tallies.

Who’s Next: The Warriors entertain Glenbrook North at 6 p.m. Friday.
The Bottom Line: A hot fourth quarter and 54 percent shooting from the field made the difference for the Warriors as they won their third game in a row to even their season record to 4-4. They are 2-0 in the Central Suburban League North Division. Deerfield outpointed Maine West, 13-6, in the final period after falling behind 37-31 at the end of three. The Warriors led 24-22 at the intermission.
Gymnastics
The Final Score: Deerfield 133.8, Niles North 115.6
Warriors Star Performer: Christine Stitcher won all four events as well as the all around competition (36.6).
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Aly Perbohner was second in the all around event as well as taking runner up honors on the uneven parallel bars (8.25) and balance beam (8.3). She was third in the vault (8.4) and floor exercise (8.05). Nikki Katz finished second on floor (8.1). Other third places went to Leslie Ross (bars, 7.9) and Emily Berlin (beam, 8.2).
Who’s Next: The Warriors compete in the Conant Invitational at noon Saturday.
The Bottom Line: Stitcher not only won all four events, but scored more than nine points in each one. She logged 9.45 on the beam, 9.1 on the bars and floor as well as 9.0 in the vault.
Boys’ Basketball
The Final Score: Maine West 54, Deerfield 53
Warriors Star Performer: Eric Porter scored 20 points including a perfect five for five from three point range.
Other Notable Warrior Performances: Sam Kuznetsky contributed 10 points while Jack Gurvey added nine.
Who’s Next: The Warriors entertain Glenbrook North at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The Bottom Line: Deerfield fought back from a 27-20 halftime deficit to trail by one, 40-39, at the end of three periods before holding a 53-51 lead near the end of the game, according to a report on the CSL Insider. Maine West secured the victory with a three-point field goal as time expired, according to the Insider. The Warriors are now 3-3 for the season.
