Elk Grove Township Expands Food Pantry Access
SNAP delays have prompted expanded Food Pantry hours and temporary guidelines to help residents access essential items.

In response to recent delays and changes in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, Elk Grove Township has expanded its Food Pantry hours and implemented temporary shopping guideline changes to ensure residents can continue accessing essential food and household items.
The Elk Grove Township Food Pantry remains a critical resource for households experiencing food insecurity. Utilizing a βClientβs Choiceβ model, the Pantry allows individuals and families to select the groceries, fresh produce, and personal items that best fit their familyβs needs, ensuring residents maintain stability during difficult times.
In October alone, the Food Pantry recorded 1,141 visits, and demand is expected to grow as the holiday season approaches.
