Man Fires Gun During Dispute With Group: Des Plaines PD
Police said the 39-year-old man initially involvement in the incident before changing his tune when brought into custody.

DES PLAINES, IL — A resident was charged with a felony following an incident Sunday in which he admitted to police he had fired a handgun during a dispute with several people. Sergiu Bulbuc, 39, of the 400 block of Good Avenue, Des Plaines, is accused of felony reckless discharge of a firearm.
Bulbuc was released following his arrest. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the charge.
According to police, officers responded to the area of Good Avenue and Rita Road at around 5:17 p.m. Sunday, for a report of gunshots near the corner of the intersection. The caller had described the person who had fired a gun, later identified as Bulbuc, who they said was in a driveway with a red pickup truck.

The caller said Bulbuc and others had been engaged in a verbal argument when he began waving a gun around. Police located Bulbuc when they arrived as he fit the description that had been given, though he originally denied any involvement.
Bulbuc was taken into custody and taken to the Des Plaines Police station, where he was given his Miranda Warnings. Police said he waived them and agreed to speak with officers, admitting to firing the handgun after being in an argument. A check of Bulbuc's information alerted officers that he did not have a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card.
