Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Metra Train In Des Plaines
The incident occurred in Des Plaines on Sunday.

DES PLAINES, IL — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Metra train in Des Plaines Sunday. The incident was causing extensive delays along Metra's Union Pacific Northwest line Sunday, according to the Metra website.
Officials told the Daily Herald one person was killed in the incident, which occurred near Lee Street and Northwest Highway at 9:50 a.m., according to the Daily Herald.
