Aggravated Battery Suspect Sought In Downers Grove
Police are asking for the public's help finding a man they say pushed an elderly person after trying to use a counterfeit bill at Best Buy.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police in Downers Grove are asking the public for help finding a man who is accused of pushing and seriously hurting an elderly person after presenting counterfeit cash at Best Buy in July.
Deputy Chief Jim McGreal told Patch "numerous leads have been exhausted, and the investigation continues."
He added, "In tandem with the continued, ongoing investigation and additional leads being pursued, we are requesting the assistance of the public."

According to McGreal, the man came to the store at 1432 Butterfield Rd. around 3:55 p.m. on July 19 and tried to pay with a counterfeit bill. Police say the man fled after officers got to the scene. While fleeing, the man pushed an elderly person, who was seriously injured, according to police.

The suspect was described as a Black man standing six feet tall, with a thin build. Police say the man has long dreadlocks and may have tattoos on both hands.
