Applications Open for Midwestern University’s Free Summer Program
Health Careers Institute for High School Students will take place in July

High school students eager to explore careers in healthcare are invited to apply for Midwestern University’s annual Health Careers Institute for High School Students, a free, hands-on summer program running from July 14-18, 2025.
Designed for current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, this interactive program takes place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily at Midwestern University’s Downers Grove Campus at 555 31st Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515. Space is limited, and the application deadline is April 1, 2025.
Participants will gain practical experience in healthcare fields through hands-on workshops, lab demonstrations, and clinical skill-building sessions led by Midwestern University faculty and students. Sessions will cover anatomy, osteopathic medicine, public health, physical and occupational therapy, dental medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, and more. Students will also receive mentorship and guidance on preparing for college and exploring different healthcare professions.
