Cars Burglarized, License Plates Stolen From Home: Downers Grove Crime

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Two cars were burglarized and license plates were stolen from a home, according to the most recent blotter from the Downers Grove Police Department.

Car Burglarized in the 1000 Block of Braemoor Drive

Police were called to the 1000 block of Braemoor Drive on Feb. 8 for a report of a car burglary. The victim said he parked his car in his driveway around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 and returned to it around 9 a.m. the following day. According to the crime blotter, items had been "thrown about" the car and the console had been opened. Nothing was reported stolen.

License Plates Stolen from Home in 4900 Block of Belmont Road

A package containing license plates was stolen from a home on Jan. 27. A woman told police FedEx had delivered the package to her home, but she never got the package.

Car Burglarized in 3000 Block of Finley Road

A car was burglarized in the 3000 block of Finley Road sometime between 11 a.m. on Feb. 11 and 7:15 a.m. on Feb. 12. Police say someone smashed the car's window and stole a case containing $1,000 worth of Warhammer models.
