Connie's Pizza To Open In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Connie's Pizza plans to open a new location on Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove. The Chicago-based pizzeria, which formerly had a restaurant at 19 W. Ogden Ave. in Westmont, will open its newest store at 2589 Ogden.

The Downers Grove spot will offer delivery and carryout, according to a post shared by the company on social media.

Connie's Pizza first opened on Archer Avenue in Chicago in 1963. The pizzeria offers a variety of pies, including thin crust, tavern-style, deep dish, Sicilian pan and stuffed. Their fry pan pizza cradles cheese, tomato slices and garlic in an olive oil-basted crust that's topped with a crisscross of crispy, seasoned crust.

Garlic Parmesan French fries, honey-glazed salmon, meatball subs and the restaurant's signature tortellini are among the other options on Connie's extensive menu.

Connie's is a member of the Pizza Hall of Fame. This year, the restaurant landed in the semifinals for WGN's Pizza Madness 2025 and will face off against Palermo's for the local crown.

No opening date has been shared for the Connie's in Downers Grove.
