Darien Police: DG Man Resists Arrest for DUI

A Downers Grove man was charged with resisting arrest Dec. 11 after he sprawled across the backseat of a police car to prevent officers from closing the door, the  said.

Police said they saw Eric M. Aillon, 23, of the 600 block of Berkshire Court, driving south in the northbound lane of Lemont Road near 75th Street around 1 a.m. Two of his car's tires were shredded, forcing Aillon to drive on his rims, according to the report.

After officers pulled him over, they said Aillon refused to comply with field sobriety tests and struggled when they handcuffed him. He also declined the officers' aid when they tried to help him into the squad car, police said.

Police charged Aillon with driving under the influence, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane use and resisting arrest.
