D99 Holds Public Hearing about Issuance of $3.5 Million in Life Safety Bonds

The matter now moves on to the DuPage County Regional Office of Education and the Illinois State Board of Education for approval.

From Community High School District 99

The Board held a public hearing about issuing $3.5 million in Life Safety Bonds to support facilities projects totaling $5,187,000 at both Downers Grove North High and South High schools. Financing through bonds reduces pressure on the district’s operating budget. No one from the public spoke.

The largest project will be to replace the boilers at North High, which is estimated to cost $1.9 million. The district submitted the recommended projects to the DuPage County Regional Office of Education and the Illinois State Board of Education for approval.
