Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club Recognizes D58 Staff and Students

Downers Grove, IL - The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club recently recognized District 58 staff and students during two award ceremonies.

The club awarded Cathy Seiden, a first grade teacher at Kingsley School, with an Outstanding Teacher Award. This award recognizes area teachers who demonstrate excellence in education. Seiden was nominated by Hannah Venzon, a former student.

The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club also recently recognized five District 58 students in its annual Junior High Art Contest. This contest is open to all junior high students living within District 58 and District 66 boundaries, including students attending non-public schools. District 58’s award recipients include:

• Carissa Blumka, Herrick seventh grader
• Julia Latocha, Herrick seventh grader
• Kira Matheson, O’Neill eighth grader
• Conner Ryan, Herrick seventh grader
• Aine Schuh, Herrick seventh grader

Congratulations! The Community Bank of Downers Grove will display the art contest award recipients’ work through spring break.
