Downers Grove Library Celebrates Record-Breaking Circulation, Hands Out Late Fee Waivers
"Fine erasers" will be up for grabs if you visit the library March 1.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — After 125 years in the community, the Downers Grove Public Library is celebrating an all-time high circulation rate of 1,036,494 items.
According to a release from the library, 2016's total was the highest since 2010 and surpassed those numbers by more than 22,000.
"We are so proud to be a part of Downers Grove." the release reads. "[It's] a community that reads, watches, listens to and learns using a wide variety of resources."

As a result, the library is handing out "fine erasers" — coupons good for a one-time erasing of up to $5 of late fees — on Wednesday, March 1.
