Downers Grove Man Left Threatening Voicemail To State Rep: Prosecutors

Prosecutors say William Dzadon, 71, said on the representative's voicemail, "I'll come to your f***ing office and f***ing blow you up."

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Downers Grove man faces felony charges after he left a voicemail for Rep. Anna Stava-Murray saying, in part, "I’ll come to your f***ing office and f***ing blow you up," according to DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

William Dzadon, 71, of the 100 block of 55th Street, was charged with threatening a public official in connection with a November 2024, a complaint for which was filed on Feb. 7, 2025. Dzadon was released from custody on Feb. 11 after turning himself in to police.

A federal complaint said that Dzadon left the following message on Stava-Murray's voicemail on the evening of Nov. 13, 2024.

“Quit filling my mailbox with your f***ing b******t every other day you buck-toothed, ugly b**** and now you’re gonna start f***ing harassing me on the telephone. F*** you. I’ll come to your f***ing office and f***ing blow you up.”

Dzadon is accused of calling back minutes later and leaving a message, saying,“Where do you live? Let me know so I can f***ing return the favor to you.”

In a statement, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said, Regardless of circumstances or intent, threatening an elected official, as alleged against Mr. Dzadon, is an extremely serious allegation and will not be tolerated in DuPage County. Our elected officials have an extremely difficult job and should not be subject to harassment, intimidation or threats of any kind. I commend the Illinois State Police for their work on this case and for their continued efforts in keeping our elected officials throughout the state safe."

Dzadon is set to be arrainged on March 19.
