DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove resident and Army veteran Harry McCabe will take part in an Honor Flight on Aug. 28.

While serving in Germany, McCabe worked as outpatient clinic director, internal medicine administrator and company commander, according to a news release from American Legion Post 80. He also attended night school in Germany to earn a Master’s degree in business administration.

In a statement, McCabe said, "I still think that we must stand strong and protect ourselves against terrorists. Innovation and free thinking come from the entrepreneurial spirit. We need to always defend that freedom."
