Drive-Thru Tests, Vaccines Available At Edward-Elmhurst Health
The enclosed three-lane drive-thru at Edward-Elmhurst Health Center in Downers Grove opens Jan. 31.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A new three-lane drive-thru opens Monday at Edward-Elmhurst Health Center in Downers Grove, giving patients an opportunity to get coronavirus tests, strep tests, blood work done more conveniently.
The enclosed drive-thru is adjacent to the health center's walk-in clinic, which opened its doors in July 2021.
Appointments are required to get a vaccination or lab test completed via the drive-thru at Edward-Elmhurst Health Center.

When patients get to the drive-thru, they must first pull up to a registration checkpoint, where they can register using a phone number or QR code from the sign to get additional instructions.
The following laboratory tests are available via the Edward-Elmhurst Health drive-thru:

- Basic metabolic panel
- Beta hCG
- Complete blood count
- Comprehensive metabolic panel
- COVID-19
- Flu A and B, RSV
- Hemoglobin A1C
- HIV antibody
- Lipid Panel
- Prostate specific antigen
- Prothrombin time
- Rapid strep test
- Specimen drop-off for stool or urine tests
- Thyroid stimulating hormone
A doctor's order is required for all lab testing. Click the link to schedule a test. Coronavirus tests may also be scheduled by calling 630-527-3200. Patients can go into the walk-in center for rapid strep or coronavirus testing if they do not have a doctor's order.
As of Jan. 31, the drive-thru will offer Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines and booster shots.
The drive-thru and walk-in center are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Downers Grove Edward-Elmhurst Health Center is located at 2205 Butterfield Rd.
