Drug Bust, DUI, Theft: Downers Grove Police Blotter

DUI

Jordan T. Carver, of the 4500 block of Cross Street in Downers Grove, was arrested around 3:17 a.m. in the 1700 block of Ogden Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control signal. He was issued a Feb. 27 court date.

FRIDAY, JAN. 18

Stolen Laptop

A laptop was stolen from an office in the 1100 block of 31st Street around 8:30 a.m., police said.

THURSDAY, JAN. 17

Drug Possession

Danielle L. Dipple, 21, of the 5300 block of Washington Street in Downers Grove, and Zachary R. Dziedzic, 22, of the 4000 block of Washington Street in Downers Grove, were arrested around 10:48 p.m. near Benton and Randall avenues, police said.

According to reports, police discovered a glass smoking pipe with burnt cannabis after stopping Dipple for driving with only one red tail light. A black canister used to store and grind up cannabis was also discovered, police said.

Dziedzic, a passenger in Dipple's car, told police he had something illegal in his pocket, according to reports. The officer discovered a small plastic bag with a clear pill bottle and a black canister inside, both of which had a green leafy substance that later tested positive as cannabis, police said.

Dziedzic was charged with possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams.

Dipple was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
