DuPage Foundation Grants $5K To DuPage Children's Museum

The award is part of the foundation's Next Generation Initiative, which focuses on young professionals who are supporting local causes.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — DuPage Foundation recently awarded $5,000 to help support educational programming at DuPage Children's Museum (DCM) in Naperville. The grant is part of the foundation's Next Generation Initiative, which is "[d]esigned to foster community among young philanthropists in DuPage County," a news release said.

"Access to rich, engaging learning opportunities shouldn't be limited by geography, background,
or circumstance," DuPage Children's Museum President and CEO Andrea Ingram said in a statement.

Ingram added, "We believe in meeting children where they are—with experiences that help
them discover their potential and see themselves as learners, makers, and problem-solvers."

Education and childcare were the focus of DuPage Foundation's Spring Social on event. Upcoming events will focus on other initiatives.

On June 26, the Summer Social will spotlight the immigrant and refugee support efforts of Exodus World Service, DuPage Foundation's summer award recipient. The Fall Social on Sept. 25 will honor DuPage Pads with a grant to aid their ongoing housing work.
