DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The team behind Cadence Kitchen and Foxtail is seeking to open a new restaurant at 844 Warren Ave in Downers Grove. The village's planning and zoning commission will consider the proposal for The Rec League at its Jan. 6 meeting.

According to village documents, The Rec League would occupy a new 20,312-square-foot, two-story space with a patio that has at least one fire pit. The first floor would feature a dining room and a "large bar," per village documents. On the second floor, customers can play darts, billiards and other games.

The building design would feature wood timbers and stone accents to "reflect a California mountain vernacular," according to the planned unit development application.
