Half Price Books Opening New Store in Downers Grove

Downers Grove, IL - Half Price Books, a family-owned new and used bookstore chain, continues its expansion with a new location in Downers Grove, located at 1328 Butterfield Road.

The new store, which occupies approximately 7,500 square feet, will celebrate its official great opening with free tote bags and $5 Half Price Books gift cards for the first 100 people at the store Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6.

One lucky shopper each day will win a $100 gift card. Customer will receive special great opening discounts off of any one item each day.

In addition to those giveaways, customers can enter in store to Win Books for a Year – a $500Half Price Books gift card.

“The Chicago area is a wonderful place full of many great booklovers,” said Kathy Doyle Thomas, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Half Price Books. “We are thrilled to have our 10th store in the area in Downers Grove and are excited to be a part of this community.”

Half Price Books will open at 9 a.m. each day. The store offers new and used books, magazines, comics, records, cassettes, videos, CDs, DVDs and collectible items.

With the addition of the Downers Grove store, Half Price Books now has 125 stores in 16 states. The chain will open new stores in Marietta and Decatur, Georgia later this year.
