Kingsley School Raises $1,900 for Juvenile Diabetes Research

Kingsley School in Downers Grove recently hosted an all-school walk to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Each class walked a certain number of laps around the building based on their grade level, with sixth graders completing six full laps—a total of 2.2 miles. The event raised approximately $1,900 for JDRF.

"We have two students with diabetes at our school, and we are excited to celebrate the money we are raising for research," said Ashlet Bidlencik, sixth grade teacher and student council co-sponsor.
