Local Restaurants To Donate Part Of Sales To Downers Grove Library
Two restaurants will donate part of their sales to support the Downers Grove Library during National Library Week April 3 through April 9.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Foxtail and Pierce Tavern will dedicate part of their sales to support Downers Grove Public Library during National Library Week, which runs April 3 through April 9.
The Foxtail will donate 20 percent of proceeds from its dinner, lunch and to-go orders Tuesday through Thursday if diners mention that they are "here for the library."
Pierce Tavern has crafted a ginger beer and blueberry-infused cocktail called The Librarian for library week and will donate $1 from each sale of the drink to the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation. The Librarian cocktail can be ordered with dine-in or carryout purchases.

Fun fact: The building that houses Pierce Tavern was the first home of the Downers Grove Public Library more than a century ago.
The Downers Grove Public Library Foundation helps support new programming at the library. Recent initiatives have included the purchase of additional ebooks and the adoption of EnChroma glasses at the library, which help colorblind patrons.
