Men Robbed At Gunpoint On 75th Street In Downers Grove
The incident comes just three days after an armed robbery on Forest Avenue.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove Police responded to their second armed robbery in less than a week, when two men were robbed at gunpoint on Forest Avenue Friday.
According to police, the incident took place just after 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of 75th Street. Police say a man approached two pedestrians, aimed a gun at them, then stole two cellphones and some cash. The armed man then fled on foot, per a news release.
The suspect was described as a Black male with a muscular build, standing around 6 feet tall, with shoulder-length dreadlocks that had yellow and gold highlights. He was last seen wearing a black sweater with a hood, black pants and a ski mask.

Six men were arrested Tuesday after a woman was robbed by three men on Forest Avenue, one of whom was armed. Just minutes earlier, four men had surrounded a car near the intersection of Forest and Prairie and started yelling at the woman inside. That woman drove off "without further incident," per Downers Grove police.
As of early Monday, no one was in custody in connection with Friday's armed robbery. Anyone with information may call the Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5600.
