New Accessible Features Encourage Inclusive Play At Constitution Park
The Downers Grove Park District will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 7, but Constitution Park is already open to the public.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Crews have finished work adding accessible features to Constitution Park in Downers Grove, making the playground and park more inclusive.
The project was funded in part by a $425,000 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The park district matched this grant at 50 percent, with construction beginning in March 2024.
