Off Successful 2012, Downtown Farmers Market to Continue
The market wil run on Saturday mornings from mid-May through mid-October; last year was reportedly the market's most successful since ints 1991 inception.

Coming off of its most successful year since being founded in 1991, the Downtown Downers Grove Market will return to its spot adjacent to the Main Street train station for 23 Saturday mornings in 2013, the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to the paper, during its best weeks the market brings in more than 60 vendors and over 3,000 shoppers; with revenue of about $37,000, 2012 was the market's most successful year ever, even though the odd weather and temperature fluctuations caused some trouble.
"Our farm flower vendor started seven weeks late and left four weeks early," the paper quotes a YMCA annual report saying. "One of our full-time vegetable vendors who is always dependable, ran out of produce and missed the last two markets."
